New student accommodation planned
Detailed planning consent has been obtained on the site of the former RSPCA buildings on Cavendish Street. Consent has been granted to erect a 239 bedroom student accommodation block on 10 floors including lower ground floor. The new building will comprise of 46 student clusters (4 x 3 bed, 18 x 4 bed, 13 x 5 bed and 11 x 6 bed) and 24 studio flats together with common rooms, retail unit and car parking.
